-Bring Life Back to Milledgeville April 6th!- -Ethan Horton for Village President - Steve Webster for Village Trustee - Riley Horton for Village Trustee- Over the last 40 years or so Milledgeville has seen a steady decline in businesses, economic growth, and even population. A once vibrant community with grocery stores, clothing stores, a dentist, a drug store, multiple gas stations, factories, and many other things to offer its citizens has steadily followed down the same path as tar too many rural midwestern towns and is fading away with time. At The Bring Life Back to Milledgeville Campaign we are committed to the idea that with hard work, and an unwavering determination to succeed we can work together toward a brighter future for Milledgeville where the town once again has something to offer to every one of its citizens! This year we have candidates that reflect all of these values and we are excited about what they can bring to the table for our town! Make sure to get out and vote to Bring Life Back to Milledgeville on April 6th! -How do we plan to do this?- First: We believe it's essential to elect candidates that have fresh and creative solutions to the problems that can face a small midwestern town trying to grow in the 21st century. Ethan Horton is a lifelong resident of Milledgeville, a Pastor, and a Precinct Committeeman for the Carroll County Republican Central Committee. A descendent of multiple of the founders of Milledgeville he has a deep-rooted connection with the town and a heartfelt passion to bring it back to life. He's running for Village President because he believes that if you have people that are willing to work hard and feel passionate about the community then no small town is ever too far gone, as a Pastor he has experience with moderating meetings, leadership, and dealing with various issues that can arise between individuals, and how to work with people in a constructive, and positive way. Steve Webster is a Milledgeville business Owner, and a devoted husband and father. As a businessman, he understands what it takes for a business to be successful. Responsible finance management, hard work, and a commitment to excellence. We believe these are the very things that our town needs to be successful once again. He is running for Village Trustee because he feels that he has the responsibility to do everything he can to better the community that his children are growing up in. He believes strongly that fiscal resonsibility is an ethical and moral obligation, especially when you're working with tax dollars. Riley Horton is a lifelong resident of Milledgeville, and a Milledgeville business Owner, and a Precinct Committeeman for the Carroll County Republican Central Committee. His family's history in the town goes all the way back to the 1840s. A young motivated businessman, he graduated with a degree in plano technology at age 17 and started a business that he still owns and operates With his experience being involved in both business and politics he brings a lot to the table in terms of creating a more business-friendly environment. He is also a staunch believer that tax-payer money should ONLY be spent in a way that actually benefits the taxpayer and that the money belongs to the community, not the board and Village President Second: We believe it's important to vote for candidates that have a deep-rooted connection to Milledgeville and feel passionate and motivated about bringing it back to life. Third: We believe it's vitally important that we elect candidates that know what it's like to run a business themselves because it provides important insight into creating a business-friendly environment. Fourth: Most of all we believe it's incredibly important to elect candidates that will be responsible with tar-payer money and will be focussed on only using those funds in a way that benefits the community, outside of VIllage Hall.
