Last year, we started off our letter to you with the very" positive information about our economic expansion, and then touched on how the soggy conditions in our area affected so many people. What a change from last year! Where do we even begin? We started using words that we never thought we would use on a daily basis: pandemic, quarantine, social distance, shut-down - just to name a few. Or how about derecho? That was a new word for us! But we also learned some positive things. At Leffelman & Associates, we learned that we were unexpectedly ready for this. On March 18th, we started working from home. After a few tweaks to our phones and computers, everything worked as if we were working from the office. And then something extraordinary started to happen. We were swamped with new business! It has been a remarkable year for us, and we would like to thank ALL of our customers - old and new. For many of you, you probably never even knew that we were not working from our offices. For those of you who visit us on a regular basis, we got it all worked out to safely take care of you. As usual, we have seen our communities come together to help those who have not been so lucky. Our area communities are so blessed with people helping each other - several food pantries giving out food, community organizations, churches, and city governments helping those in need of other things. From what we can see, the support for our local businesses has been amazing. So on behalf of all local business, we would like to thank everyone for your support. Maybe 2020 will make us all realize how important it really is to shop local. We pray that everyone stays safe and healthy this season.
